Malavika designed the overall look and feel of the user interface with illustrations, as well as the logos for our company Combinatics Inc. Japan, and the product, CellKb.
This was my first time working with a design professional and I am extremely happy with my experience working with Malavika. She made an effort to understand the product, focused on our user needs, and went through multiple cycles of designing before finalizing the designs.

She was attentive towards the smallest details of color and design while still being flexible enough to incorporate my inputs into the interface. Malavika is talented, creative and thorough. Overall, it has been a positive experience for me and I look forward to continuing my association with her.

Do you know when you’re very happy with the result of something? Well, that’s how I am feeling now. I LOVED the branding package that Malavika created for me. It was a month of a lot of talk, back-and-forth ideas, concepts, designs, color proofs, font styles, nuances… Malavika was really amazing, extremely zealous, attentive, patient, affectionate, inspiring. Imagine that she took the time to read a good part of my work – which is all in Portuguese, a language she doesn’t speak – and then synthesize everything (in a way that I wouldn’t know how to do) in five simple words that guided my brand evolution. The words were: poetic, conversational, fluid, engaging, and lucid. Not to mention that at the end of every single email she would write: “happy writing” ❤.

Impossible not to feel ‘happy’ and so energized to get into this new phase of my professional career. Gratitude, Malavika! Let’s go ahead, because there are still many other good things to come. And this is just another new beginning.

I am a singer-songwriter based in San Francisco bay area and I have worked with Malavika on the artwork design for my latest album – Bachata Indu. It’s quite challenging to find visual artists who can gather bits and pieces of the concept that you have in your mind and then deliver something that goes beyond what you have envisioned.
